MAeHC was founded for the purpose of conducting a pilot program around Health Information Technology (HIT) by establishing an EHR and HIE system that would enhance the quality, efficiency and safety of care in Massachusetts. We designed, deployed and installed EHRs in approximately 500 providers across three geographically diverse communities using four different EHR vendors. MAeHC co-developed and designed a HIE including a physician portal and access to a comprehensive view of shared patient information. We  Co-developed, designed and built a Quality Data Warehouse (QDW) which received a limited data set of patient information from each of the HIEs and calculates quarterly reports.  MAeHCs tools and methodologies are designed to produce high quality, efficient implementations.

MAeHC partners with clients to address their EHR implementation, planning, analysis and management needs. Using practical boots-on-the-ground expertise gained during MAeHC’s ground breaking EHR & HIE pilot program, MAeHC provides consulting and strategic consulting services specifically around HIT initiatives including, but not limited to, EHR implementations, HIE development, quality measure reporting and strategic interoperability planning.
