What advice would you offer a physician planning to adopt an EHR?
Think about what outside entities (labs, xrays, hospitals) you want to exchange information with and plan ahead for this interoperability, even if you can't implement it immediately. Adopt a system designed with your practice size in mind - a small practice EHR will not work well in a large practice and vice-versa.
