RI sends first-in-the-nation provider to provider Direct Message
Rhode Island Quality Institute (RIQI) is happy to announce that the first-in-the-nation production provider-to-provider Direct Project message has been sent and received! This week Dr. Al Puerini (of the Rhode Island Primary Care Provider Corporation) sent a message containing PHI to Dr. Joel Spellun (a specialist gastroenterologist) via Direct, the first instance of such a message in the country.
