If at first you don't succeed...

I was debating whether to call this "lessons learned" but thought the title I chose might catch the eye better.  Someone made a great recommendation when I was at the RIQI HITPAC (Health IT Physician Advisory Committee) meeting last week.  We should have a section for the failures, the "lessons learned".  Many times we learn just as much (if not more) from our failures/what didn't work as compared to what does work.

I'll post this here under Success Stories but maybe it would best serve the site by having either my title or "Lesson's Learned" as a new forum category right under the Success Stories category - I'll leave that to the site administrators.  If it were a new category it would allow different topics to be listed within the category to make it easier for the reader looking to find guidance.

Dr. Gorelick,

That is a great suggestion.  All lessons learned in implementing and EHR are important not only the successes you have but the stumbling blocks and troubles you may incur along the way. In response, this form has now been changed to "Lessons Learned".  So everyone can learn from the "Good" and "Bad" experiences others have had along the way.

Thank you!
