The New REC Provider Orientation Session is a critical first step for Providers that have recently enrolled in the REC Program.  The core components discussed in the New REC Provider Member Orientation Session will be referenced often as you proceed through your EHR evaluation and implementation processes with the goal of achieving Meaningful Use at your Practice.

This Orientation Session will address the following core components of the REC Program:

  • Program Overview: information regarding REC history, program structure, roles & responsibilities.
  • REC Services: review of the variety of Electronic Health Records (EHR) services that will be offered through the REC.
  • Marketplace Services:  review of the Vendor Marketplace services offered through the  REC.
  • REC Tools available: walkthrough of the various systems or tools that are available through the REC  and how these unique tools can be used to assist you with (EHR) implementation decisions and challenges.
  • Incentives & Vouchers: available: the variety of public/private incentives available to help mitigate the cost of EHR implementation.  
  • REC Relationship Management: overview of the complete EHR implementation lifecycle as assisted through the REC and introduction to the REC Relationship Manager; your guide & partner in the REC.  

Participant notes:

  • The New REC Provider Member Orientation Session will feature a one hour presentation with additional time for small group discussions.
  • Each newly enrolled Provider is required to send at least one representative from their Practice to a New REC Provider Orientation Session
