About RI REC

We're There at Every Step!

A RI REC process manager is a practice’s one-on-one coach regarding all things EHR. This person oversees the decision-making process and provides guidance and project management at each stage of EHR adoption. Process managers will prove particularly helpful at certain "pain points" in the process where common challenges and obstacles arise. Here’s where they’ll help:

GETTING STARTED

  • After enrolling, an orientation date is set and you will be assigned a process manager. After orientation, your process manager can help you understand the cost-benefit analysis of an EHR adoption for your office, determine where you are on the roadmap to meaningful use, and agree on your next steps.

READINESS ASSESSMENT

  • For practices without an EHR in place, your process manager will assist you in obtaining a readiness assessment that will prepare you for a smooth, efficient and successful adoption.  If you are a priority PCP, you will receive a $1,500 subsidy payment towards this service.
  • Through our education sessions, your process manager will equip you with the tools and knowledge to tackle the practice redesign that comes with EHR.

VENDOR SELECTION

  • Though early in the process, the choice of an EHR software vendor is highly important to the success of your transition from paper to an electronic workflow. Your process manager is a trusted, non-biased resource to help facilitate your decision-making process and standardize the contracting process.

VENDOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

  • Drawing on experience in multiple vendor scenarios, your process manager oversees the relationship and proactively resolves common issues important to the vendor and physician.

IMPLEMENTATION/OPTIMIZATION SERVICES

  • Along with your vendor(s), we’ll help you draft an individualized implementation plan that makes sense for your practice. In the event that outside help is needed with implementation or optimization, your process manager will help connect you with the consulting services provider that makes the best fit.

CONTINUED MEANINGFUL USE AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT

  • Our end-goal is always the achievement of meaningful use standards. All oversight, project management and REC-driven quality initiatives conducted by your process manager is done with the goal of achieving meaningful use and attaining any incentives you are eligible for.  If you are a priority PCP, you will receive a $1,000 subsidy payment from the RI REC when you achieve meaningful use.
