The RI Regional Extension Center, Healthcentric Advisors, and the New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) have partnered to provide free comprehensive Health IT training for RI healthcare providers, their staff, and other members of the RI healthcare community. The program includes three levels of training to meet the needs of all learners.
Get started today:
- For providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, & certified nurse midwives) enrolled in RI REC’s EHR Adoption Program: Please contact your practice’s Relationship Manager (RM), who will help you to enroll. Within two weeks of starting the process, you will receive a user name & password and information about how to begin the program. (If you need contact information for your RM, please send a message to RIREC@riqi.org). RI REC’s grant funding allows you to take free online courses about Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Health Information Technology (HIT), and Health Information Exchange (HIE). These courses are part of the Level 3 (Advanced Health IT Skills) training in our Health IT Certification Program. Download the flyer for our Health IT Certification Program for providers in the EHR Adoption Program.
- For all other providers, staff, and members of the RI healthcare community: Click here to begin the enrollment process. You only need to complete a short online form. Within one month, you will receive an email message with information about how to take an online Prove-It assessment test. (This test helps us assign you to the training level best suited to your skills and experience.) Your test results, course information, and details will follow.
