Steps to Participate
Phase I: Application Process
The current Vendor Marketplace Application to Participate period is now closed. EHR vendors and technology service consultants interested in participating in the Vendor Marketplace in the future may begin the process by completing our Vendor Information Form. If you have completed our Vendor Information Form we will notify you directly when the Vendor Marketplace Application to Participate period re-opens. We will also post the submission information and Application form on the Applicaton Process page.
The application will include specific questions about your organization and the products and/or services that you provide. Our Application Process page will be updated with more information on the specific criteria we are requesting as it is announced.
The application process will include a comfortable period of time for vendors to gather the requested information and complete their applications before responses are due. During this time, REC will be available to answer any questions you might have on the content or format of the application.
As applications are submitted, REC will formally acknowledge the receipt of your application and provide a general response timeline. At this time, our personnel will analyze and review the submissions to determine our list of preferred vendors.
Visit our Contact Us page to reach out to a REC representative.
Phase II: Negotiations
Once we have internally determined our preferred vendors, we will begin negotiations to pre-determine pricing, contracting, service level and agreement criteria in order to simplify the selection process for our providers.
Phase III: Formalized Marketplace
After negotiations are complete, we will notify chosen vendors of acceptance into the marketplace. At this point, we will also announce the marketplace participants on our website, in presentations, marketplace forums, and other interactions with our providers. Chosen vendors can also begin publicizing “REC Certification” at this time.
Phase IV: Request for Quote (RFQ) Process
Providers will use a vendor-neutral selection checklist provided by REC to narrow down the marketplace according to their needs. From that checklist, REC will procure the appropriate vendor profiles for the provider to choose from. Once the provider makes their selection, they will contact their individualized process manager and prompt them to conduct an RFQ on their behalf. At this point, the process manager will pre-populate the RFQ with all of the provider’s information. Along with general information, it will include details from the provider’s self-assessment form to help the vendor better understand the provider’s current state and needs.
