The EHR Adoption Program is open for enrollment for eligible PCPs.
Eligible providers are:
- Credentialed as an MD, DO, NP, PA or CNMW
- Specialize in Adolescent Medicine, Family Medicine, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Geriatrics or Pediatrics
- Practice in locations with 10 or fewer providers, CHCs, public hospital clinics, or serve primarily underserved populations.
As an eligible PCP, you can become a REC Provider Member at no cost. REC members enrolled in the EHR Adoption Program have access to services, tools, assistance and discounted Marketplace services to help you adopt, implement or upgrade an EHR, achieve meaningful use, and become eligible for an incentive payment program.

to start the process. During the membership process, eligible PCPs automatically are taken to the program’s enrollment form after joining RI REC.
If you already are a member of the REC but have not enrolled in the program, you are prompted automatically to enroll when you log in. Click the Login button to log in and complete your enrollment.
Note: You need the following information to complete enrollment:
- Your practice Tax identification (ID) number
- Information for the individual providers in the practice
- The National Provider Identifier (NPI) for the organization and for the individual providers
- Your practice payer mix and practice volumes
What Happens Next?
You receive an automated e-mail with a self-assessment survey to complete and a welcome from your assigned REC Relationship Manager. In addition, you also receive a Welcome packet of information about our services. By becoming an REC Provider Member, you are partnering with a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the meaningful use of EHRs in Rhode Island.
