The EHR Adoption Program is open for enrollment for eligible primary care providers at no cost. As of January, 21 2013, there are 1,068 Rhode Island PCPs enrolled!
Eligible providers are physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified nurse midwives who
- Specialize in Family Medicine, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine or Geriatrics, and
- Practice in a location with 10 or fewer providers, community health centers, clinics of public hospitals, or a setting that cares primarily for underserved populations.
RI REC members enrolled in the EHR Adoption Program members have access to financial subsidies, tools, assistance, and discounted REC Vendor Marketplace services to help adopt, implement or upgrade an EHR, achieve meaningful use, and become eligible for an incentive payment program.
